Chemical Free Cleaning with ENJO

At Classique Lodge Motel we use the 'ENJO' product range for a majority of our cleaning. This allows us to reduce our chemical use by up to 95%. We are proud to use this innovative technology to restrict chemicals entering our sewage system. This cleaning initiative provides a safer and cleaner environment for our guests and reduces our water consumption. The fibres in the 'ENJO' range are designed to reach into the smallest pores of all room surfaces to clean away dirt and bacteria. Developed over 15 years of research, these fibres allow us to clean faster, safer, and more effectively and with less impact on the environment than traditional methods.

ENJO was founded in 1990 and is in over 25 countries around the world. ENJO has ISO and HACCP accreditation and has been accepted onto the Sensitive Choice Programme by the Asthma and Respiratory Foundation of New Zealand for asthma and allergy sufferers.

Reuse, Reduce and Recycle

We endeavour to do what we can to protect the environment in which we live with minimal disruption or impact to you our guests.

Our commitment is to recycling, including cardboard, plastic/glass bottles tin cans and paper. All aluminium cans are collected separately and recycled through scrap dealers and the money donated to our grandchildrens school.

Buying in Bulk

Wherever possible we endeavour to purchase items in bulk and buying in larger quantities to cut down on transportation. This includes hand and body soap in the bathrooms. By using pump bottles to dispense the soap we do not need to purchase individually wrapped soaps.

Getting Guests Involved

Our guests can help us in our endeavours by separating food wastes, recyclables from general rubbish. Food waste can be placed in separate container which are provided in each unit and this helps to feed the worms in our worm farm. Guests are requested to clearly indicate which items they require laundered each day, with the aim of providing the highest level of service without creating unnecessry water usage, handling and transport costs.

Worm Farm

By introducing a worm farm to our complex, this has enabled us to dispose of food waste without sending off-site. The liquid waste created is used to spray our many roses, thus reducing the chemicals required to spray with, while the solid waste is used for potting our hanging baskets and the planting of new plants.
